Pakistan’s government plans to begin impeachment of a judge, who handed death sentence to former military ruler, Pervez Musharraf.

Senator Sabi Abdullahi, the Niger state lawmaker behind the controversial hate speech bill, has stated that renovation of the National Assembly complex which was built in 1999 is long overdue.

NJC Approves Appointment Of 33 Judges In 11 States

The National Judicial Council (NJC) has approved the appointments of 33 heads of courts in 11 states.

This was contained in a statement on Thursday by NJC Director of Information, Soji Oye.

Davido Disclaims Viral Video Advertising COZA Church

Popular Nigerian Singer, Davido has reacted to the outcry from Nigerians over a viral video of him advertising an upcoming event in Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, COZA.

Davido in the viral video posted by Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo on his official Instagram page was seen with a young girl advertising the program.

The United States, US Embassy has condemned the recent violent attacks on humanitarian aid workers in Nigeria.

Four aid workers, working on a health project implemented by the INGO Action Against Hunger, were recently murdered by Boko Haram/ISWAP insurgents.

They were among the six aid workers who were abducted on 26 July when their convoy came under attack near Damasak, in Mobbar local government area.

FAAC: FG, States, LG Share ₦635.8bn [See Breakdown]

Alhaji Isa Dutse, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning, said on Wednesday in Abuja that the Federal, States and Local Governments had shared the sum of ₦635.8 billion for the month of November.

Dutse disclosed this while addressing newsmen after the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC), meeting.

He explained that the amount shared included Value Added Tax (VAT), exchange gain and Forex Equalisation.

Another professor at the Moddibo Adamawa University of Technology (MAUTECH) has been kidnapped.

This is the third time kidnappers would pick a professor at the university in less than three months.
