PANDEF Blasted Over Refusal To Negotiate With Buhari

The Reformed Niger Delta Avengers, RNDA, has condemned the decision of the Pan Niger Delta Elders’ Forum (PANDEF) to stop all forms of negotiation with the Federal Government on behalf of the Niger Delta region.

RNDA described PANDEF’s decision as “nonsensical, meaningless and shameful.”

The militant group said PANDEF “failed woefully to address the issues of underdevelopment affecting the long-neglected people of the region and therefore did not qualify to enter into any negotiation with the Federal Government on behalf of the people of the Niger Delta.”

Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, has declared that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Mike Igini, would not be fair to the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the senatorial rerun.

The Minister said that with Igini as the umpire in the election, APC cannot be victorious, because, according to him, the INEC chief hates the party.

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Imo State has directed its members to support the new All Progressives Congress (APC) government in the best interest of the state.

Ihedioha: Women In Black Protest Supreme Court Judgment

 

Supporters of Emeka Ihedioha, former governor of Imo, flooded the streets of Owerri, the state capital, on Sunday, demanding a reversal of the supreme court judgement which ordered his sack.

The apex court had on Tuesday ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to return Hope Uzodinma, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as winner of the March election.

Uzodinma placed a distant fourth in the results announced by INEC.

The aggrieved protesters wielded placards with inscriptions such as: “Ihedioha We Know’; “Democracy Has Been Murdered”; “We Want Him Back”, among others.

Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade, has appointed ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Gedoni Ekpata, as his Special Assistant on Garment Factory and Branding.

Gedoni’s fiancée, who was also a fellow housemate on the reality show, Khafi Kareem, announced the appointment on her Instagram page.

Doyin Okupe, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan has called on the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to change its name.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has reacted to the Supreme Court judgement affirming the election of Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State.
