S’Sudan: Donors Tired Of Govt’s Failure To Serve People

The Trump administration’s top Africa diplomat lashed out at South Sudan’s rulers on Monday, and urged the country’s warring parties to defer agreement on “sticky issues” until after a transitional government is formed.

“The elites need to get to the point of serving their own people instead of their own selfish interests,” declared Mr Tibor Nagy, US assistant secretary of state for African affairs.

Asking Service Chiefs To Resign Or Be Sacked Is Sacrilege

As reactions continue to trail the call for the sack of Service Chiefs by members of the National Assembly, the National Democratic Front, NDF, on Thursday described the development as sacrilegious and unpatriotic.

The House of Representatives had during plenary on Wednesday, asked President Buhari to sack service chiefs for overstaying their tenure, following a motion of urgent public importance moved by the Chief Whip of the House, Hon, Mohammed Tahir Mongunu and 14 others.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has issued certificates of return to the winners of the January 25, 2020 rerun election held in Arochukwu and Abia south constituencies of Abia State.

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has approved the appointment of Ben Agande as General Manager, Benue Printing and Publishing Corporation, BPPC, publishers of The Voice Newspaper.
