The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has again made another announcement which revealed that it has discovered 2.7 million cases of some double registration which had been carried out during the recently concluded Continuous Voter Registration.

Russia on Wednesday included US tech giant Meta, the parent company of Instagram and Facebook, to a list of which it has labelled as ‘terrorist and extremist’ organisations, according to a database of the Federal Service for Financial Monitoring (Rosfinmonitoring) which was sighted by Africa Daily News, New York.

2023: Wike Appoints 14,359 Advisers, Liaison Officers

The governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has confirmed the appointment of a total of 14,359 persons as advisers and liaison officers for various political units in the State.

In a statement issued in Port Harcourt on Tuesday by his media aide, Kelvin Ebiri which was made available to Africa Daily News, New York, the governor disclosed that a total of 14,000 persons were appointed as advisers while 359 persons were appointed as liaison officers for local governments and wards.

The statement disclosed that the appointments were with immediate effect.
