A political economist, Dr Obiora Okonkwo, has attributed the poor outing of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2017 governorship election to lack of commitment on the part of the party leaders.   He stated this position at the party’s secretariat in Awka, the state capital, during the presentation of 340 party registers, which he procured for the 326 wards to enable the party make proper documentation of its members in the state.

Imo: PDP Declares 7 Days Prayers, Fasting Over Ihedioha

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has declared a one-week fasting and prayers for the restoration of the former governor of the state, Mr Emeka Ihedioha’s mandate.

In a statement signed by the party’s State Secretary, Nze Ray Emeana, on Saturday, the Imo chapter announced that the spiritual exercise would commence on Sunday, February 9, 2020.

Also, party members in the state, are told to wear all black during the spiritual exercise.

A former Presidential Aspirant under the platform of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) prior to the 2019 general elections and immediate past governor of Plateau State, Sen. Jonah Jang, has called on government at all levels, security operatives as well as stakeholders to rise up and ensure the country is secured in the wake of the security challenges bedeviling the nation.

Adams Oshiomhole, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has reacted to the alleged face-off between him and the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki.

The alleged face-off had resulted to threat to suspend Oshiomhole from the party at the state level.

However, Oshiomhole insisted that he was never involved in any intra-party fight and would never insult any member of the APC.

PDP Postpones Edo Council Congresses Over A Court Order

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has postponed the conduct of Local Government Congress in Edo State scheduled for today following a high court restraining order. The Edo State High Court in Ekpoma, had on Thursday, restrained the PDP from conducting the local government congresses pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice.

The trial judge, Justice Okeaya-Inneh granted the order following an application filed by Mr. Gallant Eruaga, a former member of the Edo State House of Assembly; Victor Idiakheoa and Jide Obalowoshe.

Insecurity: Stop Living In Denial, PDP Tells Buhari
