A faction of the Pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, has explained that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s presidency offers the best opportunity to produce a government that will usher in a new Era of hope, peace, security, harmony, gainful employment for the multitude, economic development, social and political stability.

 The National Organising Secretary of Afenifere, Abagun Kole Omololu, disclosed this in a statement issued at the end of Tinubu’s visit to the Akure residence of Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti.

President Muhammadu Buhari has thrown his full weight behind the decision of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, to launch new designs of the naira denominations.

According to Buhari, Nigerians who are in possession of illicit money stashed in the soil would have problems with the new naira notes.

Russia on Saturday announced the suspension of its participation in a landmark agreement that allowed vital grain exports from Ukraine, blaming drone attacks on Russian ships in Crimea.

The Kremlin has confirmed that Russian President Vladimir Putin will host talks in Sochi on Monday between the leaders of arch-foes Armenia and Azerbaijan.

India’s antitrust watchdog has fined Google $113 million for ‘unfair’ payment policies, a week after hitting the tech behemoth with an even bigger financial penalty for abusing its market dominance.
