Taiwan on Tuesday demanded that China “back off” and accused it of threatening peace, after a Beijing official rejected a largely respected marine boundary following recent incursions.

Foreign minister Joseph Wu urged Beijing to “return to the civilised international standards” after a Chinese foreign ministry spokesman said there was no so-called median line in the Taiwan Strait “as Taiwan is an inseparable part of Chinese territory”.

Lagos Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has told members of his cabinet and other government officials to deliver on their job.

He spoke on Tuesday at the Ministerial Performance Review Retreat.

The Governor said the administration’s vision of greater Lagos must be achieved.

Sanwo-Olu noted that people’s expectations were more than what had been achieved.

The Lagos helmsman told the cabinet members and heads of parastatals to deploy more resourcefulness to the implementation of policies and programmes.

Sanwo-Olu directed commissioners and special advisers to work together for better service delivery.

Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki has said that he will show no mercy to the Former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomhole if he continues to be disruptive.
