We Want SARS – Northern Governors Declare

Governors from the Northern part of the country have rejected disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

According to them, the police unit has been useful in the fight against insecurity in the region.

The Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong, who is the Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum (NGF) made this known to reporters on Thursday after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja.

The EU on Wednesday agreed to impose sanctions on six people and one entity over the poisoning of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny with a Novichok nerve agent, diplomats told AFP.
