President Muhammadu Buhari has said that it is unfortunate that the initial genuine and well-intended protest of youths in parts of the country against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) was hijacked and misdirected.
President Buhari said this during his meeting with former Heads of State and Presidents of Nigeria, Friday in Abuja.

Lagos State governor Babajide Sanwo-Ou on Friday announced the ease of the curfew in the state.

Sanwo-Olu said the 24-hour curfew will be eased on Saturday but movement would only be allowed between 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The governor eased the curfew at a press briefing after assessing the level of damage done on public and private properties since Tuesday night.

Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State has extended the curfew imposed on the state to 7am tomorrow (Saturday) to ensure full return to normalcy.
Emmanuel announced the extension in a statement issued on Friday in Uyo by the state Commissioner for Information, Mr Ini Ememobong, and made available to newsmen.
Recall that the curfew declared earlier by the governor was to elapse by midday Friday.
The governor said the extension followed the unlawful activities of the End SARS protesters, which led to the disruption of economic activities in the state.
