Poverty Numbers In Nigeria Alarming – El-Rufai

Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, have stated that Nigeria has the highest number of poor people in the world a development which he believes is worrisome while calling on government at all levels to do better than they are currently doing to reverse the ugly trend.

The governor made the remark at the launch of the Social Protection Agency in the state capital on Tuesday.

He said his government established the agency to ensure that all social protection programmes are delivered in an integrated, inclusive and sustainable manner.

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State says indigenes of his state were fighting against terrorists, killer herdsmen as well as criminality and not against any Fulani as some Nigerians believe.

Herdsmen: OPC, Agbekoya, Vows To Protect Yorubaland

Odua Peoples Congress, Agbekoya, Hunters Group, Isokan Ile Yoruba, Vigilante Group of Nigeria,  Ibarapa Group, and Community Society Awareness Initiative have vowed to do everything they can to defend Yorubaland against invasion by killer herdsmen.
