Reps Ask INEC To Review Constituencies, Senatorial Districts

The House of Representatives on Tuesday urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to review the federal constituencies and senatorial districts.

The green chamber made the call following a motion by the Minority Leader, Ndudi Elumelu on Wednesday.

Elumelu in his motion said INEC had failed to comply with section 73 subsections a and b of the 1999 Constitution.

Interesting times are ahead as the 2023 presidency draws nearer, the fate of the National leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu currently hangs in the balance, as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on Tuesday stepped up his probe.

Investigations have revealed that in late 2020 the EFCC wrote the Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB, asking the body to avail it with more information on Tinubu’s asset declaration.

Morocco has announced that its decision to put a hold on its contacts with the German embassy in the country over its stance on Western Sahara which is presently causing so many controversies.

The country’s foreign affairs ministry made this know and cited ‘deep disagreements concerning crucial issues,’ although it refused to provide explanations.
