Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri on Monday has explained why he believes that late Nigerian dictator, Gen. Sani Abacha remained a great man in Bayelsa.

The governor pointed out that the dictator is a hero in Bayelsa for creating the state.

He stressed that people might not like him, but that the people of Bayelsa State would always remember him for creating the state 25 years ago.

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and have undertaken to work together in tackling the menace of cybercrime.

Top officials of the Lagos zonal command visited the UNILAG Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe on Monday.

Ibrahim Gajere of Peoples Democratic, Party (PDP) has been declared winner of the Kajuru Local Government chairmanship election.

The Returning Officer, Dr Ibrahim DanMaraya, announced the results of the election on Sunday.

DanMaraya said Gajere polled 14,432 votes to defeat the immediate past LG Chairman and All Progressives (APC) candidate, Cafra Caino, who scored 9,095 votes.
