The All Progressives Congress (APC) Elders Advisory Council in Oyo State, has explained why they believe that former President, Goodluck Jonathan can’t be president on the platform of the ruling party in the next general elections.

Chairman of APC Elders Council in the state, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, explained that the party has people already lined up to become president.

The former governor of the state spoke while featuring on Agidigbo 88.5 FM in Ibadan which was monitored by Africa Daily News, New York.

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has predicted that the possibility of northerners retaining power in the forthcoming 2023 general elections is highly very likely.

In a post on his official Facebook page on Sunday evening which was sighted by Africa Daily News, New York, the socio-political activist lambasted Southern Nigerians for not giving much attention to the coming elections like their counterparts in the North.

Omokri accused Southern Nigerians of prioritising entertainment particularly the ongoing Big Brother Naija, BBNaija reality TV show to political issues that may shift power to the region after President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure elapses.

The candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the forthcoming governorship elections in Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo has said the State loses ₦19.6 billion every day that it is locked down.

Soludo stated this at an enlarged meeting with Anambra State Elders and Stakeholders Forum, and Forum of Heads of Broadcast Media Stations in Anambra State.

Former Kogi lawmaker, Dino Melaye has reacted to a statement made by President Muhammadu Buhari listing the achievement of his administration.

Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, has said the recent passage of the Petroleum Industry Acts (PIA), by President Muhammadu Buhari, is a recipe for anarchy in the country.

A former deputy speaker in Malawi on Thursday shot himself in the head in parliament, where he had gone for a meeting, official parliament sources have revealed.

The deputy speaker by name Clement Chiwaya, who was 50, reportedly killed himself inside the parliament building, where he had gone to discuss vehicle benefits entitled to him when he left office in 2019.
