Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has accused the ousted Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, trying to sabotage the party’s mission to rescue Nigeria.

Wike stated that Secondus attempt to scuttle the PDP national convention makes him an enemy of the party that is resolved to end the poor leadership of the All Progressives Congress(APC) led federal government.

The governor was speaking in Port Harcourt on Friday in reaction to Court of Appeal dismissal of Secondus’ application that sought to stop the PDP convention and his restatement as the national chairman of the party.

Former New York governor Andrew Cuomo was on Thursday charged with a misdemeanor sex crime for forcible touching, a court spokesperson said.

The charge is the first to be filed since the once-powerful politician was forced to resign this year following a slew of sexual harassment allegations.

‘A misdemeanor complaint against former governor Andrew Cuomo has been filed in Albany City Court,’ said Lucian Chalfen, a spokesman for the New York state courts, describing it as a ‘sex crime.’

The complaint accuses Cuomo of putting his hand down the victim’s blouse and grabbing her left breast in December 2020.

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum has spent two days in Diffa and Bosso provinces of the neighboring Niger Republic.

The governor led some Nigerian refugees on Thursday, to undertake clearance exercise in Malam-Fatori, headquarters of Abadam Local Government Area in northern Borno.
