I Was Never Arrested By EFCC, Fani-Kayode Clarifies

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has debunked claims that he was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

It was reported earlier in the day that Fani-Kayode was arrested by EFCC for alleged forgery.

EFCC’s spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed the development to PM News.

He said Fani-Kayode was arrested for forgery and manipulation of documents.

Uwujaren said: ‘Yes it’s true. It has to do with forgery.’

He, however, didn’t give further details on the matter.

President Joe Biden reached for the US strategic oil reserves Tuesday in an attempt to flatten fuel price rises pummeling Americans at Thanksgiving — and hoping to reignite his own political fortunes.

Benue Assembly Approves Ortom’s ₦18.225bn Loan Request

Benue House of Assembly on Tuesday approved a request made by Gov. Samuel Ortom to borrow ₦18.225 billion from the Federal Government.

Ortom asked for approval to take the loan to cushion the effect of repayment of bailout funds collected in 2015 and 2016.

He told the House in a letter read by the Speaker, Mr Titus Uba, that the Federal Government had offered a bridging finance facility window for state governments to access such loans.

He told the House also that the Federal Government provided funding windows (bailout) at the inception of his first term in 2015.
