Buhari Deserves Credit For Tackling Insecurity – Shehu

Malam Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammad Buhari on Media and Publicity, said the president deserves credit for tackling insecurity, especially Boko Haram and farmer/herder crisis.

Shehu made this claim on Friday while presenting a paper, tagged ‘Fake news: Challenges of information management’, at the 10th anniversary of the Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA), in Katsina State.

Abubakar Malami, the attorney-general of the federation (AGF), has denied any involvement with the recent action of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) against Willie Obiano, governor of Anambra state.

The EFCC, in a letter dated November 15 and addressed to the comptroller-general of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), had asked to be informed whenever Obiano is seen attempting to travel out of the country.

Reacting to the development, Don Adinuba, the state commissioner for information, in a statement earlier on Thursday, said claimed that Malami was responsible for EFCC’s action.

The House of Representatives has rejected a bill to allow citizens to drag the government to court for failing to provide social welfare.
