APC Crisis: Buhari Sends Out Fresh Warning To Party Leaders

President Muhammadu Buhari has issued out a stern warning to the leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), telling them to desist from name-calling and backstabbing which could afford the fortunes of the party going forward.

Africa Daily News, New York reports that ahead of the convention of the party which is scheduled for March 26, the ruling party in Nigeria has been factionalized with Yobe State Governor, Mai Buni insisting he remains the National Chairman.

His Niger counterpart, Sani Bello now heads the caretaker committee of the Party, a development that has split governors, lawmakers, other chieftains and members.…

The quest by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to restore normalcy to its fold has hit a brick wall as  Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) stated that it had not received communication from the party’s chairman, Mai Mala Buni handing over to the Niger State governor, Abubakar Sani Bello as speculated by some members of the Party.

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) on Wednesday slammed Ebonyi State Governor Dave Umahi over his comments and his blunt refusal to obey a court order which has asked him to vacate office as governor of the State.
