Yobe Lawmakers Breaks Silence On Alleged Move To Impeach Buni

The Yobe State House of Assembly has debunked the rumour making the rounds that members of the Assembly were making moves to impeach Governor Mai Mala Buni from office for undisclosed reasons.

The House debunked the story through its Chairman House Committee on Information, Gafo Mai Zabo Bizi, who represented by his vice, Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Bazuwa, on Thursday during a press briefing in Damaturu which was monitored by Africa Daily News, New York.

The lawmakers also described the impeachment report as ‘false and malicious’.

2023 Presidential Primary: Babatope Sends Warning To PDP

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Ebenezer Babatope has warned the opposition party to allow fairness, equity, and credibility to prevail at its upcoming presidential primary or else risk losing the elections again in 2023.

Babatope issued the warning in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) which was monitored by Africa Daily News, New York on Friday.

‘Our great party, the PDP, must get it right at the presidential primary. We must ensure that the process is fair and credible so that we can have the best man as a candidate,’ Babatope said.
