2023: Amaechi Congratulates Tinubu, Pledges Full Support

Nigeria’s immediate former Transportation Minister, Rotimi Amaechi, has congratulated Bola Tinubu on his emergence as the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) while promising to give him all the support he needs to become President.

Africa Daily News, New York reports that Ameachi was among those Tinubu defeated by a landslide to emerge as candidate of the party on Wednesday.

He polled a total of 1,271 votes – more than four times the votes scored by his closet rival, Amaechi who had 316 votes.

Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, who made this announcement on Thursday night also congratulated Nigerians on the occasion which commemorates the annulled June 12, 1993 presidential election.
