No fewer than thirteen inmates have been confirmed dead and two others injured following yet another bloody fight in a notorious Ecuadoran prison yesterday, law enforcement officials have revealed.

‘Unfortunately, central command reports 13 (inmates) dead and two injured,’ the South American country’s prison authority SNAI said on Twitter.

A major tragedy was averted on Tuesday when a Dana Air Boeing 737 aircraft with the registration number (5N DNA) opted for an emergency landing in Abuja after one of its engines had developed a major fault mid-air.
