Soyinka Warns Miyetti Allah Against Threat To Govs

Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, yesterday warned the National President of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Alhaji Abdullahi Bodejo, over his constant threat on governors to carve a large portion of lands in their states for cattle colonies for nomadic herdsmen activities if they want to live in peace in the country.

Soyinka told journalists shortly after he paid a courtesy visit on Governor Samuel Ortom at Government House that each governor has the protection of the Nigerian constitution to take his own decisions and enforce them accordingly in the best interest of the state.

The Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari on Tuesday urged repentant bandits to be sincere about the ongoing peace deal for the sustainability of peace in the state.

DPR Seals Filling Station In llorin Over Damaged Pumps

The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) on Tuesday sealed off an MRS filling station in llorin, the Kwara capital, for allegedly selling fuel with damaged pumps and under dispensing.

Mr Sule Yusuf the DPR Operations Controller in Kwara, ordered that the station be sealed off when he led officials of the organisation on an on-the-spot assessment of operations of filling stations in the state.

The MRS filling station sealed is located on Wahab Folawiyo and lbrahim Taiwo road in the llorin metropolis.

Adamawa: Gov Orders Payment Of Minimum Wage, Effective Nov.

Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has ordered the implementation of ₦30,000 new national Minimum Wage in the state.

The new wage takes effect from November, according to a statement by the Director Media and Communications, Solomon Kumangar.

The statement reads:

“Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has directed that payment of the new national minimum wage should commence from November, 2019.
