₦6.3bn Fraud: EFCC Expresses Displeasure, Appeals Jang’s Acquittal

Ex-Speaker, Patricia Etteh Released By EFCC

As the aftermath of her arrest, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has finally released former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mrs Patricia Olubunmi Etteh on bail.

Her release was announced on Friday night after fulfilling bail conditions offered her by investigators working on her case.

EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, in a statement, said the former Speaker is to report periodically to the agency to assist with further investigations.

Africa Daily News, New York can recall that she was arrested on 17th May over suspicious and shady financial involvement with Phil Jin Projects Limited.

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby has reacted to the killing of Deborah Yakubu, a Christian student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, condemning her killers and calling on authorities to measures in place to forestall future occurrences.

Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy has cried out that many were killed following a Russian missile strike in a village, Desna, in the Chernihiv region, north of Kyiv on Thursday.

Concerning the arrest of the Accountant-General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris who was nabbed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC for allegedly siphoning over ₦80,000,000,000 (eighty billion naira), the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has reiterated that the arrest has gone a long way to buttress its notion that IPPIS is fraud.
