Archbishop Adewale-Martins Faults Delegate System

Most Rev. Alfred Adewale-Martins, the Catholic Archbishop of Lagos, has unequivocally faulted the delegate method being used by political parties in the country to choose party flag bearers, ahead of the 2023 general election.

Adewale-Martins said this in an interview with NAN in Lagos on Tuesday.

The Archbishop said an arrangement where only a few party members are accorded the right to elect party standard-bearers would not give room for the best candidate to emerge and described it as utopian and defective.

Controversial Yoruba Nation campaigner, Sunday Igboho Adeyemo who is also known as Sunday Igboho has completely condemned the killing of innocent Christians at St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State.

Consumption Tax: Oyo Hoteliers Decry Ectortion

The new addition of consumption taxes slammed by the State Government has seen the Oyo State Hoteliers Association of Nigeria kicking against the consumption tax.

Suspected militants killed at least 18 people in a village raid in eastern Congo as fighting resumed with the M23 rebel group in a neighbouring province.

In response to the recent Church massacre in Ondo State and in a show of solidarity to the victims, the Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has directed that flags should be flown at half-staff in all public buildings, facilities, and official residences for seven days.
