Taika Waititi To Direct New ‘Star Wars’ Film

New Zealand filmmaker Taika Waititi will write and direct a new “Star Wars” film, Disney announced Monday.

Waititi has shot from indie acclaim to mainstream Hollywood success in recent years, overseeing Marvel superhero smash hit “Thor: Ragnarok” in 2017 before winning a screenplay Oscar for Nazi satire “Jojo Rabbit” in February.

He also directed the first season finale of “The Mandalorian,” the hit television show set in the blockbuster sci-fi franchise universe.

No date was set for the new movie. But the first of three currently scheduled “Star Wars” on Disney’s release calendar is penciled in for December 2022.

Popular Nigerian video director, Clarence Peters Abiodun, has finally spoken about the death of professional dancer, Love Divine (Kodak), at his residence.

Music director and producer Clarence Peters is currently being detained by Lagos police over the death of popular dancer, Love Divines known as Kodak.

This happened after reports emerged that the popular dancer died at Peters’ house on Wednesday while charging her iPhone.

It was reported that the dancer was barefooted and sat near the door of the residence while operating the plugged phone when the incident happened.

Bollywood star Irrfan Khan has died at the age of 53, after being admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on Tuesday.

Khan, known internationally for roles in Slumdog Millionaire and Jurassic Park, was admitted to the intensive care unit of Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital with a colon infection.

Spending on digital video games hit a record high $10 billion in March as people stuck at home under coronavirus lockdowns turned to gaming, market tracker SuperData reported on Thursday.

Money spent on major console games leapt to $1.5 billion in March from $883 million in February, while spending on games played on high-performance personal computers climbed 56 percent to $567 million in the same comparison.
