Superstar Actor Idris Elba and supermodel Naomi Campbell were among signatories of an open letter published on Monday and made public on Social media which criticized Ghana’s position on gay rights.

Africa Daily News had earlier reported that Ghanaian security forces last month raided and shut down the office of an LGBT rights group in the capital Accra after politicians and religious leaders called for its closure.

Nigerian entertainer, Obianuju Catherine Udeh, popularly known as DJ Switch has called out the Lagos State Government over plans to auction 88 cars seized from traffic offenders in the state.

She was reacting to the claim made by the Lagos State Task Force on Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences (Enforcement Unit) that it obtained a court order from the Lagos State Mobile Court to auction 88 forfeited vehicles.

According to them, the vehicles were impounded for driving against the traffic in different parts of the state.
