Suspected gunmen yesterday launched a new attack on the Okehi Area Command of the Nigeria Police at Eika-Ohizenyi in the Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State killing one Mr Jibril, identified as a police inspector on duty.

The latest attack was the second in less than one month as the Adavi Police Station came under attack in early June in which three police officers were killed.

Armed Gunmen suspected to be bandits, on Saturday, in Sokoto, reportedly killed 11 farmers in the Ghandi district of Rabah Local Government Area of the state.

A source, who disclosed this, said the attackers stormed the community around 12 noon, shooting sporadically, to scare people and later killed farmers working on their farms.

Terrorists Invade Abuja Community, Kidnap 22 Persons

No fewer than 22 persons were kidnapped on Friday in a community within Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), following an attack by some yet-to-be-identified gunmen

Police authorities in the FCT who confirmed the attack to reporters revealed that the attack happened within Rafin Daji, a boundary community Between Niger State and the FCT.

The acting FCT police spokesman, Oduniyi Omotayo told reporters that the gunmen attacked the community at the time farmers were cultivating their farmland.
