EFCC Raises Alarm Over Magu, Agency Blackmail

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has raised an alarm of blackmail and smear attacks against the agency and the Chairman, Ibrahim Magu.

Dele Oyewale, in a statement on Wednesday, said the EFCC has enough facts about the sponsors of such insidious campaigns.

He said corruption will always fight back and that the agency was not surprised by the actions of “some overseas-based, politically-exposed and disgraced elements being investigated for unnerving acts of corruption”.

Journalist, Family Detained For Criticising Lai Mohammed – CDHR

The Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, CDHR says radio personality, Rotimi Jolayemi, is being illegally detained by the Nigeria Police.

Jolayemi is fondly called Oba Akewi.

The journalist had recited a poem that was critical of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed.

Qatar’s interior ministry has announced that wearing masks will be mandatory for everyone going outside starting on Sunday in the country.
