EFCC Arrests, Quizes NDDC’s Account Director Over ₦25bn Fraud

Operatives of Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have confirmed the arrest of the Director, Finance, and Account of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr. Eno Ubi Otu for alleged fraud.

The Amotekun Corps in Ogun State has announced the arrest of about seven suspected Indian hemp sellers while fighting over customers in Ogun State.

Africa Daily News, New York gathered that the arrested suspects are also members of Eiye and Aiye cult groups.

The Amotekun Commander in Ogun, David Akinremi, identified the suspects, who are all men between 25 and 40 years, to include: Alimi Raimi, Ayotunde Onakoya, Ogunmade Seun, Ayodele Oreoluwakintan, Taofeek Shita-bay, Ibikunle Gbengas, and Ebiruga Oluwaseun.

Akinremi revealed that they were nabbed in connection with a case of conspiracy and cultism.

NDLEA Nabs ‘Pastor’ With Drums Of ‘Mkpuru Mmiri’

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has confirmed the arrest of a cleric Pastor Anietie Okon Effiong who was in possession of three drums of crystal methamphetamine, locally called Mkpuru Mmiri.

According to the anti-drug abuse agency, the consignment was believed to have been imported from India.
