A group of about 50 bandits yesterday evening raided Tangaza, the headquarters of Gidan Madi Local Government Area of Sokoto, and carted away foodstuff, water, and other commodities.

Multiple sources confirmed to newmen that the bandits did not kill or abduct any resident during the raid that lasted about 40 minutes.

The Nigerian Correctional Service has revealed that no fewer than 114 inmates out of the 266 that escaped from the Kabba Medium Custodial Centre in Kogi State on Monday have been recaptured.

No fewer than 240 inmates have escaped the Medium Security Custodial Centre (MSCC) in Kabba, Kogi State, following an attack by unknown gunmen.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has listed nine areas in Lagos State as hotbeds where suspected internet fraudsters mostly operate from.
