Bandits Attack Sokoto Community, Steal Foodstuff

A group of about 50 bandits yesterday evening raided Tangaza, the headquarters of Gidan Madi Local Government Area of Sokoto, and carted away foodstuff, water, and other commodities.

Multiple sources confirmed to newmen that the bandits did not kill or abduct any resident during the raid that lasted about 40 minutes.

A witness who gave his name as Basharu Altine, narrated that the bandits stormed the town on motorcycles and went straight to the central motor park.

No fewer than two persons were yesterday feared killed and one other abducted by suspected herdsmen at Yelwata community of Guma Local Government Area of Benue State. 

Sources from the area told reporters that the attack which happened on Saturday night was unprovoked. 

An eyewitness who was identified as James Igbudu disclosed that his father-in-law was kidnapped in the attack.

240 Inmates Escape As Gunmen Break Kogi Prison

No fewer than 240 inmates have escaped the Medium Security Custodial Centre (MSCC) in Kabba, Kogi State, following an attack by unknown gunmen.

EFCC Releases List Of Nine Internet Fraud Hubs In Lagos

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has listed nine areas in Lagos State as hotbeds where suspected internet fraudsters mostly operate from.
