Suspected Kidnappers Abduct Nursing Mother In Adamawa

A nursing mother has allegedly been abducted by gunmen suspected kidnappers at Ngurore Police Station in Yola local government area of Adamawa State.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Sulaiman Nguroje made the news public when he spoke to newsmen on Sunday.

He confirmed that the suspected kidnappers stormed the Police station at about 2am in the early hours of Sunday and went away with the nursing mother, stressing that no casualty was recorded in the incident.

Bandits Kill 10, Injure 11 In Katsina Community

Suspected bandits have killed no fewer than 10 people and injured 11 others in Yasore village, Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State.

The bandits were also said to have looted several houses in the village during which they stole money, phones, clothes, foodstuff, and other personal items.

Residents said the assailants also rustled several domestic animals after they had set ablaze scores of houses and food barns.

It was learnt that the bandits, who were armed with sophisticated weapons, swooped on the village on motorcycles at about 6.30pm. They were said to be on a reprisal attack.

2000 Bandits ‘Informants’ Arrested In Zamfara – Commissioner

No fewer than 2000 bandits informants have been nabbed in Zamfara State as a result of the telecommunications shutdown in the state, according to the State Commissioner Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Alhaji Ibrahim Dosara.

The Commissioner made this disclosure in Kaduna State on Thursday while giving an update on the ongoing military operations in the state.

He revealed that the suspected informants are undergoing serious interrogation for them to open up on the identities of their perpetrators ‎and collaborators.

According to him, some of the arrested informants ‎mentioned names of highly influential individuals as their collaborators.

Bandits on Sunday attacked a joint military base in Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State, killing scores of people.
