Boko Haram Terrorists Attack Yobe Military Base In Gun Trucks

Suspected to be members of Boko Haram on Sunday attacked a Nigerian military base in Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State.

Africa Daily News, New York gathered that the terrorists drove into Katarko village in 10 gun trucks and attacked the military formation, where they engaged the security operatives at the base in a heavy shooting.

The residents were forced to run into the nearby bushes for safety but a military source said the troops repelled the attack.

A Nigerian soldier was on Thursday murdered in Etekuru, Ohaji Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State by hoodlums.

Unknown gunmen on Tuesday evening, opened fire on traditional rulers having a meeting in Imo State and killed two of them in the process.

Among the monarchs confirmed dead were the Obi 1 of Okwudor autonomous community, Eze E. Anayochukwu Durueburuo and Eze Sampson Osunwa of Ihebineowerre autonomous community.

The Haitian 400 Mawozo gang that kidnapped 16 American missionaries and one Canadian has demanded $17 million for the release of all abductees.

Wall Street Journal which reported the ransom, quoting a Haitian official, said the bandits want $1million per each captive.

Among the captives is an eight month old baby.

Eight Nigerians aged between 33 to 52 were arrested for Internet scams, money laundering and international-wide scale financial fraud in Cape Town early today.

According to reports, those arrested were members of the Black Axe that preys on widows or divorcees and scammed them out of their millions.
