NDLEA Nabs Another Lagos Drug Baron, Recovers ₦8.8bn Tramadol

National Drug Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has confirmed the recovery of about 13,451,466 pills of Tramadol 225mg worth N8.86billion  from one of the mansions of a billionaire drug baron, Ugochukwu Nsofor Chukwukadibia, in the highbrow residential estate, Victoria Garden City, Lekki area of Lagos.

NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi explained that the arrest and recovery followed credible intelligence, which made NDLEA operatives on Friday 30th September storm the Plot A45 Road 2 home of the 52-year-old billionaire drug kingpin.

Morocco: 19 Reported Dead After Drinking Toxic Alcohol

Recent reports have revealed that at least some 19 people have reportedly died and some dozens others have also been hospitalised following their consumption of toxic alcohol from a roadside kiosk which is located in northern Morocco.

P&ID: Court Orders Arrest Of Briton Over $9.6bn Fraud

A Federal High Court sitting In Abuja on Wednesday ordered the immediate arrest of a British national, James Nolan, for jumping bail in a fraud case involving the P&ID firm.

Justice Ahmed Mohammed of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, issued this order after Nolan, who is a director in the Process and Industrial Development Limited (P&ID) failed to appear for trial.

Nolan is being tried by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) along with Lurgi Consult Limited and others,  in  a money laundering case to the tune of $9.6 billion.

Police Intercept Two Buses Loaded With Ammunition In Lagos

Police officers attached to the Ikorodu Division in Lagos State have intercepted two commercial buses loaded with a large cache of live cartridges, three dismantled motorcycles, and some personal effects.

They were intercepted at Poromope Estate, Ijede Road, Ikorodu, Lagos State, the spokesman of the state’s police command Benjamin Hundeyin said in a statement on Saturday.

‘Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects, Tukur Abdullah ‘m’ aged 35, Muazu Telim ‘m’ aged 50, and Dahiru Idris ‘m’ aged 36 were on their way to Katsina State,’  Hundeyin added.

18 Pump Action Guns Intercepted By NDLEA In Kogi

Reports reaching the desk of Africa Daily News, New York reports that operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on patrol along Okene-Abuja highway, yesterday intercepted a J-5 bus with 18 pieces of pump action rifles and 1,300 cartridges in Kogi State.

According to reports, the vehicle was coming from Onitsha, Anambra State en route Kaduna-Zaria in Kaduna State.

The anti-narcotics agency said two suspects conveying the arms and ammunition, Chukwudi Aronu, 51, and Shuaibu Gambo, 23, were arrested.

This was revealed in a statement signed by NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, on Sunday.
