More troubles have have ambushed suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, as the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency on Monday declared him wanted over alleged links with drug trafficking.

NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi made the announcement during a press conference which was monitored by Africa Daily News, New York on Friday.

Barely forty-eight hours after four policemen were killed in the Enugu capital by yet-to-be identified gunmen, another four have been reportedly killed at a checkpoint in the outskirts of the city.

Reports say the gunmen, who operated in Sienna and Lexus Jeep, stormed the checkpoint at Obeagu in Enugu South Local Government Area, killing at least four. Efforts to reach the police have proved abortive.

Alleged kidnap kingpin, Chukwudimeme Onwuamadike, alias Evans, yesterday declared that he was innocent of the charges leveled against him before the Lagos State Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja.

Evans, who is currently facing four counts of kidnapping and unlawful possession of firearms, submitted that he was not a criminal but was a legitimate business man who was into haulage and had about 30 workers on his payroll.

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has declared war on internet fraudsters, popularly known as Yahoo boys in the State.

To stop the excesses of the many internet fraudsters ‘rampaging’ within the state, Abiodun revealed that Ogun State has concluded plans to set up its financial crimes agency to deal decisively with internet fraud and illegal financial transactions, especially those that have to do with kidnapping.

While also emphasising his resolve to wage war against kidnappers, Abiodun disclosed that his government was working with federal agencies and its Oyo State counterpart to secure the border lines.
