Suspected Fulani Militia Murder Five, Injure Others In Benue

No fewer than five persons have been reportedly killed in a fresh attack by suspected Fulani militias on Tse Alashi Kaambe Community, Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.

The suspected Fulani militia invaded the community, at about 1pm on Friday afternoon, in large numbers when the victims were busy on their farms and brick moulding sites.

A source confirmed our correspondent that “they killed three people who were working on their farms and also moved to where some people were moulding burnt bricks and killed two others after which they retreated.

As the long arms of the law managed to catch up with him, an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court has ordered the remand of a 33-year-old man, Baderinwa Waheed, who allegedly hacked into and stole an N-Power beneficiary’s five months stipend.

The defendant, whose address was not provided, is charged with forgery, stealing, and fraud.

Bandits Attack Abuja-Kaduna Road, Abduct Many Travellers

Bandits yesterday attacked commuters along the Abuja-Kaduna highway, abducting an unspecified number of travellers and injuring many others.

The spokesman of the Kaduna Police Command Mohammed Jalige told reporters on Wednesday night that the bandits had about 4: 20 pm blocked the Audu Ogbe portion of the Highway, near Katari village.
