ABOUT US

Founded in 2019, Africa Digital News, New York is an independent media platform dedicated to delivering fearless, investigative, and uncompromising journalism that amplifies African voices and narratives for a global audience.

We are proudly published by People & Polity Inc., a New York–based media and research organization with a mission to shape informed conversations and challenge entrenched narratives.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple yet urgent: to serve Africa and the world with truthful, courageous, and fact-driven journalism.  We challenge distortions, hold power accountable, and illuminate untold stories with depth and clarity — inspiring change that is progressive, people-centered, and enduring.

Our Independence

Africa Digital News, New York stands apart as one of the few media platforms in the world that is 100% independent. We are wholly funded by our founder, Prof. MarkAnthony Nze, who also serves as Editor-in-Chief. We receive no external financing, no corporate sponsorship, and no political support. Every investigative report, editorial, and salary is sustained through Prof. Nze’s personal resources and commitment. This unique funding model guarantees total editorial freedom. Our work is guided by a single principle: the pursuit of truth.

Why We Exist

Too often, Africa’s stories are told from outside perspectives — filtered, distorted, and stripped of authenticity. We exist to restore narrative sovereignty. To ensure that Africans speak for Africa. To create a platform where Africa’s complexities, challenges, and triumphs are reported with depth, truth, and integrity. Our vision is clear: to be the most trusted voice in African investigative journalism — shaping conversations across the continent, its diaspora, and the world.

A Note from the Founder

When I founded Africa Digital News, New York in 2019, my goal was clear: to build a fearless, independent newsroom where Africa’s truths are told with integrity — free from political interference, corporate control, and click-driven distractions.

For six years, I have personally sustained this platform, funding a team of 25 professionals who work daily to deliver stories that matter. We have done this without a single advertisement, sponsored post, or algorithm-chasing gimmick. Our independence is not for sale.

Today, our exclusive exposés — from political corruption to hidden health crises — demand greater resources, security, and courage. That is why I invite you to become a member. With your support, we can continue to protect Africa’s truth — bold, unfiltered, and unafraid.
