Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola purchases a luxury residence in Barcelona’s upscale Pedralbes area as he finalizes his quiet divorce from wife Cristina Serra.

According to Spanish media reports, the 53-year-old football tactician recently bought the high-end property in Pedralbes, one of Barcelona’s most exclusive neighborhoods. The purchase comes as the couple, who have been living apart for several months, move toward completing one of football’s longest-running and most private relationships.

Local outlets have described the new home as a personal “refuge” for Guardiola — a space built for tranquility, privacy, and reflection. The modern residence reportedly features panoramic views of the city, elegant interiors, and minimalist architecture reflecting the Manchester City coach’s refined taste.

A source quoted said, “It’s a spacious home with spectacular views and stylish interiors that match Pep’s personality. The area offers both calm and convenience, close to Barcelona’s center yet peaceful enough for him to unwind away from the pressures of football.”

The new property is situated not far from the £8.5 million ($11.3 million) family home Guardiola once shared with Serra and their three children. Interestingly, it lies within the same neighborhood where the couple purchased their first joint property in 2021, underscoring Guardiola’s desire to remain close to familiar surroundings.

Spanish journalists Laura Fa and Lorena Vázquez, known collectively as “Las Mamarazzis,” were the first to report on the couple’s separation earlier this year. They noted that Guardiola’s decision to stay in Pedralbes reflected his emotional connection to the area.

Fa said, “The fact that Pep chose a home so close to his family’s old residence shows he still feels deeply attached to the community.”

Reports suggest the divorce proceedings, initially described as “friendly,” have evolved into what sources now call a “cordial” settlement. Despite their public profiles, Guardiola and Serra have managed to keep the details of their split private, focusing on maintaining stability for their children.

The couple first met in the 1990s when Guardiola was still a player for Barcelona and Serra worked in fashion retail. Their marriage, often cited as one of football’s most enduring partnerships, now comes to a quiet close — marked not by headlines of conflict, but by a calm transition into separate lives.
