Arshavin: “I Wouldn’t Play For Real Madrid, Even For All Money”

Andrey Arshavin has repeatedly made clear that he will never play for Real Madrid — “not even for all the money in the world” — because of his longstanding admiration for Barcelona.

In August 2011, amid rumours linking him to Real Madrid, the then-30-year-old Arsenal forward emphatically rejected any move. He told the Evening Standard that Real Madrid was “a complete taboo” for him.

Arshavin has made no secret of his dream to join Barcelona. During his time at Zenit and later at Arsenal, he publicly discussed how the Catalan club’s style of play had inspired him. In a 2008 …

Neville Slams Mount At Left Wing-Back: “It Can’t Happen”

Gary Neville has publicly lambasted Manchester United’s tactical deployment of Mason Mount, questioning the logic of using him as a left wing-back. The former United defender, speaking on The Gary Neville Podcast, called the move “ridiculous” and said it undermines the player and the team.

“You CANNOT put Mason Mount at left wing-back. I’m sorry, it just can’t happen,” Neville declared. “I struggled at times to watch him in his natural position, but actually putting him out there on the left wing is ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.”

Mount, normally deployed in midfield or attacking roles, was shifted to a wing-back role …

Trump To Meet Congress Leaders As Shutdown Deadline Looms

Trump To Meet Congress Leaders As Shutdown Deadline Looms

President Donald Trump is set to meet with Republican and Democratic leaders on Monday as Washington races to avoid a partial government shutdown at midnight Wednesday.

The standoff comes after Senate Democrats earlier this month blocked a Republican-backed stopgap spending bill that would have kept the government funded until November 21. Democrats insist any deal must include measures to expand healthcare coverage, including reversing cuts to Medicaid contained in Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Republicans argue healthcare should be debated separately as part of broader spending negotiations.

With Republicans holding 53 Senate seats, at least 60 votes are required …
