At least eleven Palestinians were killed and dozens wounded in a series of Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, according to medical sources and eyewitnesses who spoke with Anadolu.
In Gaza City, two Palestinians lost their lives and several others sustained injuries when an Israeli airstrike struck a residential house in the al-Daraj neighborhood at the heart of the city. Hours later, warplanes targeted a tent erected near the Sheikh Radwan cemetery in northern Gaza, leaving at least nine people wounded.
In the south, Khan Younis continued to bear the brunt of heavy bombardment. Two women were killed when Israeli forces struck tents sheltering displaced families at the al-Qadisiyah camp west of the city. In a separate attack on the Asdaa area north of Khan Younis, three more Palestinians — including a child and a young woman — were killed when a tent hosting displaced civilians was bombed. Several others were reported injured.
Israeli ground forces also opened fire on civilians waiting for humanitarian aid distribution west of Khan Younis. Four Palestinians were shot dead and many more sustained gunshot wounds, further compounding the crisis in the already embattled southern city. Eyewitnesses added that Israeli forces simultaneously carried out demolitions of homes and civilian properties in parts of Khan Younis, intensifying the displacement of residents.

The ongoing military campaign, which began in October 2023, has so far killed nearly 63,000 Palestinians, according to local authorities in Gaza. The relentless offensive has decimated infrastructure, displaced hundreds of thousands, and pushed the enclave to the brink of famine.
Israel’s actions have drawn mounting international scrutiny. In November 2024, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former defense minister Yoav Gallant over alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity. Separately, Israel faces proceedings at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), where it stands accused of committing genocide in Gaza.
Despite global pressure, the assault continues unabated, leaving Gaza’s civilian population trapped in what humanitarian agencies describe as an increasingly catastrophic situation.
