Arsenal have completed the high-profile signing of Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace, agreeing on a structure that includes a £60 million upfront fee and up to £7.5 million in performance-based add-ons, bringing the total potential value of the deal to £67.5 million.

In a dramatic transfer twist, Spurs had seemingly lined up the England international, even reaching an agreement in principle with both Palace and Eze. But Arsenal reignited their interest—reportedly spurred by an injury to Kai Havertz—and stole ahead in the final stretch.

Eze, who began his youth career with Arsenal before being released as a teenager, now makes a storybook return to his boyhood club. He has signed a four-year contract, with the option for a further season, and will proudly wear the iconic number 10 shirt.

Manager Mikel Arteta didn’t hide his enthusiasm following the announcement. “We are absolutely delighted to bring Eberechi to Arsenal,” he said. “He is a powerful and exciting player… His journey, his mentality, and his ambition are exactly what we want in our team.”

This deal caps off one of the busiest and most ambitious summer windows in Arsenal’s recent history. The club has now invested heavily across multiple areas of the squad, aiming not just to replenish but to elevate—the arrival of Eze bringing a creative spark and added tactical flexibility ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
