One of the World bests, Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer has announced that he is set to retire after next week’s Laver Cup after he had admitted on Thursday that his battles with a knee problem had forced him to call time on his historic career.

“The Laver Cup next week in London will be my final ATP event,” he said in a statement posted on social media.

Xi Jinping who is the President of China has mentioned to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Thursday that Beijing was actually willing to work and foster some more ties with Moscow as a “great power” during his first trip overseas since the early days of the pandemic.

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has called on the House of Representatives Committee on Finance to consider granting it financial autonomy by removing it from the list of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies in the annual budget of the Federal Government.
