King Charles Officially Named As King Of Australia, New Zealand

King Charles III has been officially named as the main monarch (King) in Australia and New Zealand on Sunday.

In Canberra, Governor-General David Hurley had also proclaimed “Prince Charles Philip Arthur George to be King Charles III, by grace of God, King of Australia”.

At a similar ceremony in Wellington, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern hailed Charles, saying he “has long had an affection for Aotearoa New Zealand, has consistently demonstrated his deep care for our nation”.

The two ceremonies had also been relative formalities.

Mamu’s Arrest: DSS Cautions Gumi Against Comments

In lieu of the recent arrest, the Department of State Services has cautioned Sheikh Gumi and Nigerians in general against making some unguarded utterances on the matters which had been relating to the arrest and investigation of self-acclaimed Kaduna Train hostage negotiator, Tukur Mamu.

The secret service which had made an effort in an apparent response to the comment made by the Kaduna-based Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, had also revealed that it would not be distracted by some of the skewed narratives which had been pervading the media space.
