Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has received the report of an investigative committee set up by the state government to investigate the May 12, 2022 students unrest at the Shehu Shagari College of Education (SSCOE) in Sokoto which saw the lynching of a Christian girl for alleged blasphemy.

Against the backdrop of the extension of the ongoing strike action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), the union on Tuesday revealed that none of its university lecturers has been paid since the union embarked on industrial action in February.
