Amotekun Apprehends Weed Sellers In Ogun

The Amotekun Corps in Ogun State has announced the arrest of about seven suspected Indian hemp sellers while fighting over customers in Ogun State.

Africa Daily News, New York gathered that the arrested suspects are also members of Eiye and Aiye cult groups.

The Amotekun Commander in Ogun, David Akinremi, identified the suspects, who are all men between 25 and 40 years, to include: Alimi Raimi, Ayotunde Onakoya, Ogunmade Seun, Ayodele Oreoluwakintan, Taofeek Shita-bay, Ibikunle Gbengas, and Ebiruga Oluwaseun.

Akinremi revealed that they were nabbed in connection with a case of conspiracy and cultism.

ASUU NEC To Take Decision On Strike Sunday

The National Executive Council (NEC) of the striking Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) resolved to meet on Sunday, August 28, 2022, to reach a decision on whether to suspend or continue with the industrial action.

Africa Daily News, New York reports that the meeting is slated to hold at the union’s national headquarters at the University of Abuja.

It was further gathered that the council will take a decision on the industrial action based on reports from the various state congresses.
