Racist Abuse: Chelsea Probes Case Against Spurs Forward, Son

English Football Club, Chelsea has announced that it is going to be pulling up an investigation after racist abuse had been allegedly directed against Tottenham forward Son Heung-min during a football match at Stamford Bridge, threatening the “strongest action”.

The South Korea international had been alleged to have been racially abused by a member of the crowd at the  Stadium during Sunday’s ill-tempered game, which had ended in 2-2.

FG Spends ₦18.397Bn On Petrol Subsidy Daily – Ahmed Zainab

Due to the instabilty in the sale and distribution of petroleum products, the Nigerian House of Representatives’ Ad Hoc Committee which had been installed to investigate the Petroleum Products Subsidy Regime from 2013 to 2022 had  on Thursday, queried the Nigerian Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, over some of the payments of subsidy on Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Zainab Ahmed on her part had also disclosed that the Federal Government of Nigeria spends over ₦283 per litre of PMS or ₦18.397bn per day as subsidy.

While reacting to the massive backlash on them as a result of the bad turn their last meeting with the Federal Government took, the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has come out to give a reason why the meeting with the Federal Government of Nigeria had ended in a deadlock.

Some of the media Aides to the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel have openly blasted a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, SAN, and some twelve other lawyers for their recent legal action of  dragging the state Chief Judge, Justice Ekaette Obot to court while slamming a suit on him for not releasing the Certified True Copy of court proceedings on July 27.

They had also described Falana’s and Associates’ action as a height of complete embarrassment to their legal profile as court proceedings which are only regulated and provided by Registrar and not the Judge.

The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN has confirmed that henceforth, the minimum interest rate on Naira savings deposits has now been increased from 0.15 percent to 4.2 percent.
