Call Your Supporters To Order, Police Warn Tinubu, Obi, Others

The Nigeria Police Force has sent a serious warning to all politicians in the race for the Presidency of Nigeria to eschew violence and caution their supporters against sending threats to voices of dissent and people not supporting them in the run-up to the poll.

According to the police, any threat to life is a criminal offence, while also adding that the Electoral Act as amended is also clear on the appropriate punishment prescribed for election-related crimes.

41 Killed As Fire Breaks Out In Egyptian Church

No fewer than 41 people have been confirmed dead and 14 others injured following a fire that broke out at a church in the city of Giza, near Cairo, Egypt’s Coptic Church disclosed on Sunday, citing the health ministry.

Why We Want To Break Away From Nigeria – Yoruba Group

An organisation identified as the Yoruba Self-Determined (YSDM), has written a letter to President Muhammadu Buhari asking for a ‘peaceful break away’ of the Yoruba tribe from the country Nigeria.
Mr. Akintoye who is a History professor revealed that Yoruba leaders bade for the infusion of a secession clause in the Nigerian Constitution in the 1950s, however, the request was revoked by colonial masters of the time.
