The Department of State Security Services (DSS) has tackled the former Aviation Minister, Osita Chidoka, over his recent outburst over the security situation in the country in recent times, accusing him of displaying crass ignorance in public.

The former Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps had during a live television interview that was monitored earlier in the week, blamed the worsening insecurity in the country on the failure of the leadership to manage the country’s diversity to promote cohesion and efficiency among the nation’s military and security agencies.

Forex Crisis: EFCC Storms BDC Hubs In Lagos

Just like they did in Abuja about a week ago, operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Lagos Command on Wednesday visited some of the hubs of the Bureau De Change (BDC) operators in Lagos on what has been described as a ‘fact-finding mission’.

Eye-witnesses who were at the locations who chose to speak under the condition of anonymity revealed that the operatives were seen at the international and local wings of the Murtala Mohammed Airport, the Hadji Camp and the offices of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) in Ikeja.

Documentary: NBC Slams ₦15m Fine On Trust TV, Others

In a very controversial decision, the Management of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), has slammed a fine of ₦5 million each on Trust TV, Multichoice, and NTA-Startimes who were earlier accused by the government agency of glorifying terrorism.

In a statement which was obtained by Africa Daily News, New York, the Director-General of NBC, Balarabe Shehu Ilelah announced that the fine for Multichoice and NTA-Startimes was for their carriage of the documentary by the BBC AFRICA EYE titled, ‘BANDITS WARLORDS OF ZAMFARA‘ which glorified the activities of bandits and undermines national security in Nigeria.
