Russia Announces Blacklist Of 39 Britain Citizens, Including Cameron

While displaying its version of counter-sanctions due to the barrage of European sanctions on her due to the conflicts with Ukraine, Russia has on Monday announced that it would be blacklisting 39 British citizens, including Labour Party leader Keir Starmer and the former prime minister of the United Kingdom, David Cameron.

The reason is not far fetched from the fact that London has also been one of Kyiv’s most vocal supporters after President Vladimir Putin sent troops to Ukraine on February 24.

DR Congo Army Officials Fire Shots At Anti-UN Protesters

As a result of the ongoing protests in the Country, some of the DR Congo military officials have fired warning shots to disperse protesters who had been approaching a United Nations peacekeepers’ base in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo on Monday, a day after two people were killed by members of the UN force.

Congolese forces had also shot into the air and police fired tear gas to break up two columns of dozens of people in the eastern border city of Beni, who were rallying against the United Nations peacekeeping mission, MONUSCO.

Fresh reports reaching the desk of Africa Daily News, New York has revealed that the United States Mission in Lagos has announced the arrival of Will Stevens who is the new Consul General at the United States Consulate General in Lagos.

Consul General Will Stevens had reportedly arrived in Lagos on Friday, July 29, following some of the consultations in Washington, D.C.

A yet-to-be-identified number of people have been killed and several others were injured after United Nations peacekeepers opened fire at a border post in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), the UN has revealed.

The governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal on Sunday visited former President Olusegun Obasanjo in what his team has described as a meeting to discuss national issues.

A Special Assistant to the former president on Media, Kehinde Akinyemi, made this disclosure in a statement on Sunday in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

No fewer than 16 people were killed in two-midweek attacks which occurred in northeastern Mali by suspected jihadists on encampments of nomadic tribesmen, local sources have confirmed.
