
Liberia Signs Bill Allowing Dual Nationality Into Law
Liberia has signed into law a bill that allows dual citizenship, reversing a longtime ban viewed by some as hypocritical going to the fact that the elites secretly held US citizenship.
The bill, signed into law by President George Weah Friday has now been passed by both the House of Representatives and the Senate.
Africa Daily News, New York reports that the bill now amends the West African state’s nationality law, allowing Liberians to remain citizens after acquiring a second nationality.
