While reacting to some fresh embezzlement discoveries by the ICPC, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has openly called on the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari to make sure he recalls the former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and current Ambassador to Benin Republic, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai (rtd), to face  some investigations over his alleged connection with the ₦1.8 billion which had been recovered in a property in Abuja after a tip off to the ICPC.

SERAP Charges Buhari To Redirect Govt Funds To ASUU

While reacting to the prolonged strike action by members ASUU community, the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) group has openly urged President Muhammadu Buhari to do his best to meet some of the demands of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

SERAP had also advised President Muhammadu Buhari to redirect some of the presidency’s ₦3.6 billion budget for feeding and travels, and the ₦134 billion allocated to the National Assembly for 2022 to ASUU.

No fewer than two dozen crew members have been declared missing after their ship broke into two during a typhoon in the South China Sea on Saturday, with rescuers scrambling to find them, officials have said.

An engineering vessel that was 160 nautical miles southwest of Hong Kong ‘suffered substantial damage and broke into two pieces’ and the 30-member crew abandoned the ship, according to the Hong Kong Government Flying Service.
