The senator representing Adamawa North, Ishaku Abbo, often referred to as the ‘sex-toy senator’, has announced the resignation of his membership from the campaign group of the All Progressives Congress (APC)  flagbearer, Bola Tinubu following the recent choice of running mate.

This was as he called Tinubu irresponsible for picking the former governor of Borno State, Kashhim Shettima, a Muslim, as APC vice presidential candidate.

Abbo had earlier tweeted about his stance but shared details of his decision with journalists on Monday in Abuja.

The EU must prepare itself for new waves of migrants forced to uproot because of the food crisis aggravated by the war in Ukraine, the bloc’s border agency chief warned Monday.

Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has finally come out to completely debunk some reports which has been making rounds that its legal adviser has tendered in his resignation in protests over the selection of Kashim Shettima as the running mate of its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, in a statement on Monday had also described the report as as false and misleading.

The reports followed announcement by Abuja based lawyer, Daniel Bwala, that he is quitting the ruling party over the selection of Shetimmma, who like Tinubu, is a Muslim.
